Everyone knows that the only true punk-rock bar in town is the DOUBLE DOWN. And every year, it celebrates its anniversary with a grand old party that feels more like an intimate gathering of friends than anything else. On Thursday, Nov. 29, the place was packed, Monty Banks and his showgirls did the scene proud with some lounge lizard oldies and owner Moss sat like a proud papa, smoking a big stogie, watching it all. All it's been through... plus one of the best jukeboxes in town...are testaments to how great a place the Double Down is. If you haven't been in a while, you should stop by... as soon as humanly possible.
