This is one of the few remaining old fashioned cocktail lounges in Las Vegas.

Located on the strip, a little north of The Riviera, is the Algiers Hotel.

The cocktail lounge is next to the front desk in the hotel. Jetson's Mod decor, untouched since it's creation in the mid sixties. A great place to get away from the tourists, and enjoy a relaxing cocktail.

The layout of the hotel is not unlike The Desert Inn any of several other early hotels built on The Strip: A "motor court" surrounds the parking lot and a very sixties swimming pool. This is the scene from vintage vegas post cards, with gamblers playing blackjack in the pool.

It's a quiet place, probably supported by five or six regular video poker patrons. Don't expect much of a social scene. Just drop in with a few friends, check out the vintage scenery, and hit the next bar.
